Qualifications:

The Enterprise administrator supports multiple technologies on VMware, Windows, and Linux based platforms. • Minimum 5 years directly related experience in VDI infrastructure support including Horizon, User Environment Manager (UEM), App Volumes, and NSX. • Minimum 5 years directly related experience with Windows workstation OS support. • Minimum 3 years directly related experience with VMware ESX and vCenter. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). • Working experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems. • Familiar with PowerShell scripting. • A solid understanding of how to determine port requirements for firewall rules. • A working knowledge of how Microsoft Group policy is used to configure base settings. • A working knowledge of VMware NSX, hypervisor-based antivirus, and vRealize Orchestrator. • A working knowledge of hyper converged infrastructure. • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Primary duties include the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware products including Horizon, ESXi, and AppVolumes. • Work with project managers, architects, and SME’s on sizing and implementing new VDI use cases. • Support and troubleshoot issues with VMware products and virtual desktops. • Apply and renew SSL security certificates. • Additional duties may include process documentation, task automation, and performing client work requests. • Adhere to all standard security and installation procedures.
