0 - 2+ years related experience. Basic knowledge of electric distribution design, electricity, company policies and procedures, and mainframe and personal computer. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication, time management and organization skills. Project management, math and technical aptitude. Ability to effectively interact with customers and teams; detail oriented. Physical attributes to perform essential functions: walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.
Primary role will be designing LED Conversion projects for municipalities. (High volume, lower complexity designs.) Coordinate with internal and external customers for the design and installation of electric distribution facilities. Determine material needs, time and cost estimates, engineering calculations, technical designs, easement negotiations and acquisitions through the use of project management skills. Secure environmental permits and conduct customer meetings; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for construction, maintenance and relocation of electric distribution facilities. Analyze electrical load data and perform calculations to determine size and location of electric distribution facilities based on engineering standards, existing or proposed easements, Right-of-Way permits and operational needs and requirements. Inspect project sites, designate facility placement, determine metering requirements, and prepare service agreements and detailed drawings utilizing Arc-FM, Auto-Cad, or other tools as appropriate. Utilize work management system to prepare cost estimates based on design of new construction or modification of existing facilities. Coordinate installation/relocation of other utilities (i.e. cable television, phone, etc). Prepare underground agreements, billing authorities, revenue calculations, etc. Determine tree-trimming requirements and initiate activity. Prepare, negotiate and secure Right-of-Way permits, environmental permits, easement agreements and highway/railroad permits. Communicate company policy and procedures, electric service requirements and project schedule to customers. Reconcile construction as-builts to ensure mapping accuracy in GIS. Identify safety issues such as checking equipment and work area regularly to ensure safety and compliance; identify hazards and improvements that could prevent safety problems; evaluate impact of decisions and actions on own and others' safety.
Potential for work location to change to new downtown high rise, which will require contractor provided parking/fees.
