Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of the electric power production business and energy markets (preferably in PJM and other related markets), generally acquired through considerable related work experience. Proven analytical, leadership, financial and negotiating skills. Good understanding of the life-cycle financial modeling of power generation facilities. Good ability to connect aspects of a project together to develop various negotiation strategies and positions with project developers and localities. Understanding of power purchase agreements and various structures, including physical and financial transactions, contract-for-differences, and environmental attributes. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate prospective utility-scale solar power generation acquisition and development opportunities in the lower 48 states. Coordinate evaluation, analysis, and due diligence activities of each acquisition opportunity with the internal team, including evaluation of financial viability, permitting, electric market revenues, and general readiness of the project to begin construction. Lead development of new generation projects and negotiations of key contracts including project acquisition agreements, land, electric transmission, and power purchase agreements. Work to ensure a smooth transition for construction and operations integration. If needed, work with the project developer to obtain community support of projects and coordinate timely permit applications.
