At specific work location, ensure company compliance with environmental, chemical and waste management and permit regulations. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of work site to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures. Serves as liaison with external and governmental agencies. Coordinate with and monitor operations and maintenance personnel to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical safety, waste management, wildlife management, rules and regulations, etc. Conduct inspections or assessments and provide advice or recommendations regarding compliance issues to management.Full knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques - Full knowledge of environmental regulations - Basic knowledge of computer applications - Basic knowledge of company operations - Analytical and deductive reasoning skills; laboratory; communications; technical writing; instrumentation; mathematical - Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment or process problems; to conduct site inspections or walkdowns
Analyze and evaluate data and prepare reports to keep management apprised of site environmental compliance or safety records. Serve as primary site coordinator with internal department and external agencies regarding environmental, safety or chemical management issues. Serve as contact with community or local public to resolve complaints or problems. Procure services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental/safety programs. Coordinate hazardous waste disposal. Provide training to site personnel in the handling of chemicals, waste materials or other procedural requirements. Evaluate new regulations and coordinate compliance plan. Also have a chemistry background with water treatment and boiler chemistry.
