Qualifications:

  • Seeking experience Supply Chain/Procurement professional to handle daily issuance of Purchase Orders/Change Orders in SAP ERP system.
  • 4 - 6 years related experience. Knowledge of procurement practices, procedures and policies.
  • Working knowledge of business and contract law.
  • Based on experience level, would handle administration of complex procurements for materials and services.
  • Should be familiar with contract negotiations and drafting of legal language in contracts.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP/purchasing/logistics systems and processes,
  • Preferred SAP experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of materials/services delivery fulfillment processes.
  • Knowledge of Request for Proposals (RFP) process and evaluations Skills:
  • strong verbal/writing/presentation; demonstrated effective influence, persuasion and negotiation; analytical skills; priority management; project management; computer proficiency; forecasting and trend analysis; value/cost analysis.
  • Abilities: apply analytical skills to diverse issues; manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; apply acquired knowledge and skills; use sound business judgment; anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs.


Education: Bachelors Preferred

Responsibilities:

This role purchases and manages moderately complex agreements for materials/equipment/services. Performs activities related to identification, solicitation, evaluation and award of supplier quotations/proposals/product descriptions.

§ Analyzes supplier proposals for standard items/services for price, performance, capability, quality, delivery, compliance with order terms and consistency with sourcing strategy.

§ Negotiates, awards and implements contracts and purchase orders.

§ Supports identification and implementation of cost improvements for purchased materials and services. Communicates with field and project personnel to evaluate compliance with purchase contracts.

§ Resolves problems regarding material delivery, price discrepancies, quality issues and invoice discrepancies and/or adjustments
