Job Posting Title: Field Planner Instrument & Electrical II
Duration- 6 month
Location- Channelview, TX
The basic function of this role within the MOWP is to develop planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects based on priorities established by the gatekeeper. The job plans must fully satisfy the notification scope and include all material, services, resources and appropriate scheduling logic between individual operations or tasks
Roles & Responsibilities
Providing necessary planning information that insures safe and efficient execution of critical priority 1 and 2 jobs.
Participating in the management of notification and work order backlog.
Changing notification(s) to orders.
Building or copying job plans.
Participating in bidding process and requisitioning for third party services.
Routing high cost orders through the Production Maintenance Coordinator for verification that work order provides appropriate return on investment relative to the current business environment.
Forwarding job packages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Soliciting feedback on executed jobs plans and making any necessary changes to insure planning and work efficiencies continue to improve.
Writing necessary change orders for third party services upon job completion.
Execute field tagging turnaround items.
Annotation of package drawings.
Complete package data sheets as applicable to assigned packages; data sheets include but are not limited to: tag equipment data sheets activity plan data sheets labor and material resource data sheets, scaffold and insulation plan data sheets, document I&E Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and checklist requirements.
Develop field drawings per package specifications.
Assemble field planning documents per package specification for quality review.
Complete and sign off on package field planning requirements checklists.
Participate in package field Walkdowns.
Transition into a turnaround execution role in either field coordination or planning systems.
SAP experience – Maintenance Module – required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years’ experience in the field of Instrumentation / Electrical.
Must be proficient in reading P&ID’s, electrical one-line diagrams and wiring schematics.
Must be familiar with the requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC).
Must have the ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods to customers, management and vendors.
Experience with accomplishing work within required timelines, including short, long and emergency timeframes.
Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Documentum.
